      The marmot is calling -

Are you ready for the rally?

      Registration

The tour details for the Murmetli Rallye:

      Duration of the rally:

The rally lasts 7 days, including one day at leisure. On average, you will drive 220 kilometres a day in 5 hours of pure driving time.

      Length of the rally:

The rally is about 1400 kilometres long, depending on which route you choose.

      Number of participants:

A maximum of 25 teams can take part.

      Start of the rally:

The start will be on Sunday, 13 September 2026, in Weggis on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland.

      Destination of the rally:

The finish line will also be in Weggis on Saturday, 19 September 2025.

      Travelling vehicle:

Any car or motorbike over 20 years old may take part in the rally. Electric cars may also take part without age restrictions. It must comply with the road traffic regulations, have a valid MOT for the duration of the rally and have a regular licence plate or a seasonal licence plate.

      Participants per vehicle:

Each team may register as many riders as the number of registered seats in the car or motorbike.

      Road book:

You will receive your road book from us at the start. This contains the route, the destinations and the tasks that await you during the rally. You decide how you drive the route, the order in which you approach the destinations and which tasks you complete. The main thing is that you have fun - whether at full throttle like Röhrl or at a leisurely stroll with a pop song on the radio. The rally is there for you, not the other way round!

      Route:

The route leads through 4 countries: Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Italy. Unless otherwise specified in the road book, you must drive on country roads. Motorway journeys that are not prescribed will cost you penalty points in the final calculation. You want to see something of the country and its people.

The roads are 98% tarmac. The daily stages are approx. 220 kilometres long. A day's stage means that you will be travelling by car for approx. 5 hours.

      Navigation:

Those who are not so good at navigating are welcome to enter their destinations into the sat nav or GPS device. Professionals use a map to find their way, which is much more fun and makes the rally more of an adventure. Marco Polo has a travel atlas of the Alps / Northern Italy at a scale of 1:300,000 for around EUR 19.95. This is perfect for this rally.

      Accommodation:

Whether you spend the night in a tent, sleep in your car, treat yourself to a hotel room or choose a cosy bed & breakfast - it's entirely up to you. The only important thing is that you are fit and rested the next day. However, you cannot book in advance, as you will only find out where the day's destination - and therefore your sleeping place - is with the road book.

Our recommendation: Book your accommodation for the coming night later in the day. This is easy to do via smartphone, for example via booking.com. You will also find our suggestions for hotels and a campsite in the road book. Whether you use these or look for something else yourself is entirely up to you.

      Rally branding:

We will send you a parcel shortly before the rally. In it you will find your start number as a sticker (2 pieces) and the rally logo (3 pieces). Each participant will also receive a rally polo shirt - and a few other cool merchandise surprises.

      Dinner:

A dinner you won't forget in a hurry.

We pay for the great dinner, you pay for your drinks. Let us surprise you!

      Charity:

Even if it is voluntary, we would be delighted if you collected donations for a project of your choice. Whether it's a children's hospice, animal shelter or environmental organisation - the choice is entirely up to you. Ask friends, colleagues, your employer or other companies: The more you raise, the more good you can do. The amount raised will also be included in the final result of the rally.

For example, you can collect donations via betterplace.org (or a similar platform), have them transferred directly to the account of the chosen organisation or ask your bank whether it can set up a separate donation account for you.

      Award ceremony:

A rally without an award ceremony? Unthinkable! Of course there are also prizes for the first three places. The placings are determined by a points system.

This is how you collect points:

      • For every successfully completed task from the road book, you will receive 1 point.

      • For the Age of your car or motorbike there are bonus points: The older, the better! Per year there are 0.1 points- calculated from a minimum age of 20 years (year of construction 2006). Example: Year of construction 2002 = 0.4 points, year of construction 1996 = 1.0 point, year of construction 1974 = 3.2 points.

      • For Donations also earn points: For every €1,000 donated you will receive 0.1 points for the final score (formula: donation amount × 0.0001).

At the end, all the points are added up - and the three best teams can look forward to their well-deserved prizes.
